Having previously been disfigured between the events of the film and its predecessors, Dent targets Batman under a vendetta for failing to prevent his disfigurement. The film also shows him joining forces with the Riddler. Unlike most versions, Two-Face appears to be more dominant and less reliant on the coin, at one point even flipping it to gain his desired outcome. Though initially praised at the time, Forever's version of Two-Face has faced growing criticism over the years, often for the more manic depiction.
The Dark Knight trilogy[]

Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face in The Dark Knight
- See: Two-Face (Nolanverse) (played by Aaron Eckhart)
Harvey Dent serves as one of the main characters in Christopher Nolan's second Batman film The Dark Knight, played by Aaron Eckhart. Based heavily on the character's depiction in Batman: The Long Halloween, he is Gotham's new District Attorney who allies with Batman and Lt. Gordon to take down Gotham's organized crime. Dent is also depicted to be in a relationship with Rachel Dawes, putting him in a love-triangle with Bruce Wayne. During the Joker's reign of terror, Dent is disfigured and loses Rachel in a scheme organized by Joker and Maroni, leading to him taking on brutal vigilantism to take down those he deems responsible for his tragedy. Eckhart's performance and the depiction of a pre-disfigured Harvey Dent has been widely well received, though the film's depiction of Two-Face has received mixed reactions.
Dent also appears in flashbacks in The Dark Knight Rises, which reuses footage from the previous film. The character's legacy serves as one of the major plot points in the film, with Batman and Gordon having covered up his vigilantism to create a new order in Gotham. However, Bane and the League of Shadows expose the truth as part of their schemes to tear apart the city's political system and as part of their revenge against Batman.
